230° Head lamp ULTRA is the kind of hands-free light people reach for when they need both a wide beam and a bright task lamp in a small package. By our assessment, it makes the most sense for walking in the dark, repairs, camping, and other jobs where a torch in the hand gets in the way. The big plus is obvious: a headlamp leaves both hands free and usually points where your eyes go, which is exactly what a pocket torch cannot do. The trade-off is comfort and battery upkeep, because any head-mounted light depends on fit, weight, and charging or cells. In practice, this type can feel brilliant for a few minutes and annoying if the strap slips or the beam is too harsh. The 230 in the name is part of the catalogue label, not a claim to read into. It sits above the flimsy novelty lights and below the heavy-duty search gear, and the ceiling here is still a close-range work light, not a room-filling lamp.
