By our assessment, it is strongest in small spaces and quick household or site tasks, because telescopic sections are easier to store than a long one-piece ladder. The trade-off is the usual one for this kind: more moving parts, more setup attention, and less of the simple, rock-solid feel of a plain extension ladder.
