"COLOR CRAYONS" is the kind of basic drawing set people buy for children, classrooms, and simple colouring at home. By our assessment, its strongest point is the low-friction way it gets color onto paper: no setup, no charging, no special technique. The limit is also plain: crayons can be messy, they break, and they are less precise than pencils or markers. In practice they are quick and forgiving, which is exactly why they show up in hands that are still learning control. Against markers and coloured pencils, crayons are the bluntest tool, but that bluntness is part of their charm.
