WAYSIDE CORPORATION

WAYSIDE CORPORATION has the bland, roadside feel of a holding name that could belong to almost any sector, and that makes it hard to read as a specific business. By our assessment, the main fact about it is its genericness: it sounds corporate, but not informative. The small advantage is that the name is easy to file away and does not overpromise anything dramatic. The downside is that it gives no clue about products, services, or a clear market role, so it stays at the level of a label rather than an identity. In practice, that means WAYSIDE CORPORATION is the kind of company name people can pass over without learning much from it. Against firms with a visible niche, it brings little texture and almost no signal beyond the fact that it exists as a business.
