Vakilabad Prison

Vakilabad Prison is a prison, and that makes it a place for confinement rather than a public-facing institution people choose. By our assessment, the name carries the hard reality of correctional custody, with all the control, restriction, and administration that come with it. The strength of a prison is not a pleasant one, but a practical one: it serves a custodial function the justice system relies on. The downside is built into the thing itself, because prisons are defined by loss of freedom and by the harshness of that setting. In use, there is nothing decorative here; it is a tightly regulated place where routine and security dominate everything else. Vakilabad Prison sits with the rest of the prison system, and it is not meant to be compared with ordinary institutions that exist for service or comfort. The rating stays middling because this is a necessary civic facility, not an admirable or enjoyable one.
