By our assessment, the problem is not mystery but the lack of registration: that usually means less oversight, weaker complaint paths, and more room for bad actors to hide among ordinary traders. In practice, the whole category asks for caution because deposits, withdrawals, and custody can all sit outside the protections users expect from licensed venues. It is not the same thing as a mainstream exchange with clear supervision and public accountability, and that difference matters more than any slick interface. The honest limit is simple: once registration is missing, trust has to be earned somewhere else and often is not. The name itself is the warning label.
