Thomas R. Dempsey, MD PC looks like a physician-owned medical practice built around one doctor’s name, which usually means a more personal office structure than a large clinic chain. By our assessment, that can be a strength if someone wants the feel of a straightforward private practice, with ordinary outpatient care and the usual referral path when a problem needs more equipment or a specialist. The limit is scale: a single-name practice is not trying to be a hospital, and it will not cover every kind of care under one roof. In practice it tends to mean scheduled visits, office paperwork, and a narrower menu of services than a big group. Thomas R. Dempsey, MD PC sits closer to a standard private medical office than to a broad health system.
