The Gorev Foundation

The Gorev Foundation has the shape of a philanthropic or grant-making body, the kind people approach for support, programs, or public-facing good works. By our assessment, its best feature is that foundations can give structure to donations and long-term projects instead of leaving everything ad hoc. The trade-off is that a foundation can be hard to read from the outside, because the real work often lives in grants, trustees, and a narrow mission rather than in visible services. In practice, that means a careful, formal organization with more paperwork than flair. It sits among private foundations and charitable vehicles, not among businesses selling a product. The name suggests seriousness, and the real question with any foundation is how specific and active its mission actually is.
