Thaddeus J. North

Thaddeus J. North reads like a personal name used as a business label, which usually means an individual practice rather than a big public-facing firm. By our assessment, that makes it hard to say much more than the obvious: the name is formal, specific, and not trying to sell a story. The upside is that it sounds straightforward and easy to remember once you have seen it. The downside is that it gives away almost nothing about the work itself, so readers have to bring their own context. In practice that kind of name suits a solo professional or a small outfit that trades on a person’s identity. It sits closer to a named practice than to a branded company with a clear product line. The ceiling is low if you want instant clarity, but the label does its basic job without fuss.
