Tatneft-Neftekhim

Compared with an oil business focused on crude, Tatneft-Neftekhim represents the downstream side of the Tatneft group, including petrochemical and tire operations. That brings industrial materials and finished tires into the picture, rather than leaving the business at extraction and refining. Its strengths are tied to large-scale production and links between petrochemicals and manufacturing; the trade-off is the capital and energy demands typical of heavy industry. By our assessment, it has a concrete industrial role, though it is not a consumer-facing brand in the way a tire label is. The group’s activity spans petrochemical production and tire manufacturing.
