TUDOR GLOBAL LIMITED

TUDOR GLOBAL LIMITED borrows a grander tone than most ordinary company names, which makes it sound larger and more polished than the average small firm. By our assessment, that polish is its real strength: it is the kind of name that can sit on international-looking paperwork without sounding awkward. The weakness is that it is also generic, because global language and a historic-sounding word do a lot of work while saying very little about the business itself. In practice, it feels corporate rather than personal, and that can help when a company wants a broad, serious profile. Against a more specific name, it has more style but less information. TUDOR GLOBAL LIMITED ends up as a formal wrapper with a bit of polish, not a description of any clear trade.
