SMITHS CONSTRUCTION PLC

SMITHS CONSTRUCTION PLC sits in the plain, familiar world of building contractors, the kind that do the heavy work behind sites, extensions, repairs, and larger projects. By our assessment, its strength is the clarity of the name: there is no mystery about the sector, and that is often what clients want from a construction company. The downside is equally plain, because construction firms are judged by project management, reliability, and finish, none of which the name can show. In practice this kind of company tends to mean estimates, schedules, site coordination, and a lot of waiting while the work happens around noise and dust. It is a category with real uses and real risks, and SMITHS CONSTRUCTION PLC does not separate itself from other contractors on the name alone.
