Russkiy Imperskiy Legion

Russkiy Impersiyi Legion looks like a transliterated label first and a real-world organization second, which makes it awkward but readable. By our assessment, it does one thing clearly: it signals the same imperial, military-leaning identity as the Russian-language version, only in Latin letters. The drawback is that transliteration adds distance and a slightly improvised feel, so it is less immediate than the original script. In use it has the texture of a name built for recognition across language boundaries, not for elegance. Compared with a plain English or Russian form, it feels more like a rendering than a natural public name. That makes it useful as a label in mixed-language settings, but less smooth as an everyday face to the world. It is a transliteration that keeps the posture and loses some of the force.
