Russian Helicopters JSC

Among helicopter businesses, Russian Helicopters JSC stands out for bringing design, manufacturing and support together within one large industrial group. Its portfolio covers civilian and military helicopters, with the Mi and Ka families among the best-known parts of Russian helicopter production. That breadth can support the aircraft beyond the factory, through parts and maintenance as well as manufacture. The trade-off is that a holding company is not one simple product brand: its different plants and models serve different operators and needs. By our assessment, it is a substantial specialist in rotorcraft, though its military and industrial focus makes it unlike a retail-facing aviation business. The group’s structure puts design offices and manufacturing operations under the same umbrella.
