Royal Jordanian is the flag carrier people reach for when they want a direct Jordanian airline rather than an international giant with no local identity. By our assessment, its value is in the straightforward job it does: connecting Amman with a regional and long-haul network while carrying the national name. The downside is that a smaller carrier usually has less density than the biggest Gulf airlines, so schedules and connections may be narrower. In practice that often means a more modest, practical travel experience: airport, boarding, route, arrival, without much of the glossy theatre some rivals sell.
