R-D BUTLER AND COMPANY INC looks like a long-established business name, probably used by a firm that wants to sound formal, stable, and traditional. By our assessment, that plain corporate weight is its main asset: it feels serious without trying to be clever. The drawback is the same one many old-style company names have, namely that it tells you almost nothing about the actual trade. In practice, it has the texture of stationery, contracts, and signage rather than of something designed to be catchy. Compared with modern brand-led names, it sits firmly on the conservative side and makes no effort to sound consumer-friendly. That makes sense for a business-to-business setting or a family-held firm, but it is not the sort of name that explains itself to outsiders.
