PostNL

PostNL is the Dutch postal and parcel network people rely on for letters, online orders, and pickup points across the Netherlands and into nearby cross-border delivery. By our assessment, it does that job best when the package is ordinary and the route is familiar: labels, sorting, last-mile drop-off, and the everyday logistics that keep shops and households moving. The downside is the same one that comes with any national carrier, which is that speed and service can vary once parcels leave the clean path of standard delivery. In practice it is less glamorous than a courier brand and more essential than it looks, with track-and-trace updates doing a lot of the work for anxious senders. PostNL sits in the middle of the market: not a premium express firm, not a tiny local messenger, but the default postal spine for Dutch mail and parcels. The people who benefit most are those sending normal domestic post or receiving online orders; it is not the place for anyone expecting white-glove handling or tight control over every handoff.
