Plant n° 9

Plant n° 9 has the same industrial plainness, but the styling makes it feel more like a translated register name than a brand trying to sell anything. By our assessment, that works well for a company that wants to sound like a working plant and not a glossy corporation. The downside is that the label remains opaque: you get the factory idea, but not the actual line of business, products, or niche. In practice, it feels like a name that belongs on documents, maps, and supply records rather than in advertising. Against more modern corporate naming, it is spare to the point of austerity, which may suit technical circles and bore everyone else. The number 9 is just part of the name as recorded, and the whole impression is one of formal industrial shorthand.
