PJSC ROSNEFT OIL COMPANY

PJSC ROSNEFT OIL COMPANY is a large Russian oil group built around extraction, refining, and the sale of fuel and related products, so it mainly matters to energy markets and industrial consumers. By our assessment, its real strength is scale: upstream and downstream oil operations under one roof give it breadth that smaller producers do not have. The trade-off is that a company this tied to hydrocarbons is exposed to commodity swings, heavy capital needs, and political scrutiny. In practice it is a hard, infrastructure-heavy business, with drilling, pipelines, refineries, and a long chain between the wellhead and the petrol station. Against other oil majors, it sits where size and state-linked reach matter more than a nimble brand story. The name says what it is, and the work is still the old one of moving oil from the ground into products people actually burn.
