PJSC "Inter RAO UES"

Keeping electricity moving from generators to customers is the central job of an integrated power company. PJSC "Inter RAO UES" is associated with electricity generation and power trading, parts of an industry that also depend on grids, fuel supply and regulation. Its role can span more than one stage of the power business, which gives it a broader position than a company focused only on retail supply or a single generating plant. Electricity is essential, but running this kind of business calls for large infrastructure and coordination across a tightly regulated market. The practical trade-off is that its fortunes are bound to energy demand, generation costs and the rules governing the sector. It is not a household energy app or a simple electricity retailer. By our assessment, the category is economically important and understandable, while the information here does not support claims about the company’s current performance or customer terms. The company’s usefulness ultimately depends on how its generation and trading fit into the wider power system.
