PIERCE, LESLIE

PIERCE, LESLIE is the sort of company name that gives away almost nothing except a person-shaped business identity. By our assessment, that leaves it with little public substance to weigh: no clear category, no obvious offer, no visible scale. In practice a name like this can suit an independent practice, a small studio, or a consultant who wants the person to stand in for the firm, but it sits awkwardly beside brands that explain themselves immediately. The upside is a clean, direct label; the downside is that it depends on outside context to mean anything.
