Magna International

Magna International is the more formal face of the same auto-parts world, the one people meet when they are talking about a large supplier rather than a consumer brand. By our assessment, it is good at the industrial side of cars: engineered parts, assemblies and systems that have to be built at scale and fit into other companies’ products. The downside is familiar to this kind of supplier — the work is technical, competitive and easy to overlook if you only watch badges on the hood. Using it as a company means thinking in contracts, plants and logistics, not in showroom language. It sits well above small niche suppliers and below the carmakers that actually wear the badge. The Astrina catalogue records Canada for Magna International.
