MERIDIAN GROUP LTD

MERIDIAN GROUP LTD is the broadest of the six, and that breadth is both its advantage and its problem. By our assessment, it usually signals a holding company, a multi-activity business, or a corporate umbrella for several lines of work, which makes it flexible but not very revealing. The strength is that such a name can fit more than one business without boxing it in; the weakness is that it tells you almost nothing about what sits underneath. In practice, MERIDIAN GROUP LTD is a name for filings, ownership structures, and internal reorganizations, not for a customer trying to understand a product. It sits above the specific operating company, so the real work is likely elsewhere. The label works as a corporate wrapper, not as a description of a single trade.
