MASTERFUL LIMITED

MASTERFUL LIMITED has the air of a holding-company or services name, broad enough to cover several kinds of business and plain enough to stay out of the way. By our assessment, that makes it respectable but thin: it sounds polished, yet it tells a reader almost nothing about what is actually sold or managed. The practical downside is obvious — a name this broad offers no clue about specialty, so any judgment has to stay general. In real use, companies with this kind of label usually succeed or fail on the work behind the name, not on the name itself. Against more specific rivals, it sits on the vague side of corporate branding. It is a clean, unobtrusive title, and that is also its limit.
