MAPES BRANDON

MAPES BRANDON is the kind of company name that tells almost nothing except that a personal name is being used as the label. By our assessment, that usually points to a very small operation, often built around one person’s work, with whatever reputation it has coming from direct contact rather than branding. Its strength, if there is one, is simplicity: there is no pretence of scale or polish, just an identifying name. The trade-off is that the outside world gets no clue about service range, field, or quality, so the entry is poor at helping anyone compare options. It sits in the wide gray zone of unnamed local businesses, where the real substance is likely in the service itself, not the sign on the door.
