Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin makes the large defence systems that governments buy for aircraft, missiles, radar and space work, so it lives in a world of long contracts and strict oversight. By our assessment, it is strongest when judged as an industrial and engineering group rather than as a brand people browse: the work is highly technical, deeply integrated and hard to replace quickly. The downside is the same one that hangs over most defence primes, with dependence on public budgets, regulation and political scrutiny shaping what can be done. In practice, it is a company of programmes, approvals and supply chains, not quick consumer choice, and that makes it feel very different from ordinary manufacturers. Lockheed Martin sits near the top of its field in scale and influence, and the catalogue’s US tag matches that plain fact. It is for customers who need defence procurement and systems integration, not for anyone looking for a simple, low-drama business.
