Lassiter, Gregory

Lassiter, Gregory is another personal-name company label, the kind often seen on a firm that wants the owner’s name to do the talking. By our assessment, that makes it formal and tidy, but also thin on information: the name tells you there is a person behind it, not what line of work sits underneath. In practice it has the feel of a signboard or stationery heading, not a brand built to explain itself. Its strength is clarity of form; its weakness is that it stays generic until some other detail fills in the picture. Compared with descriptive business names, it gives up immediate recognition for a more private, traditional tone. It suits a professional setting where the surname matters, and it stops there.
