Krafton

Krafton is for players who live around online games and long-running service titles rather than one-off releases. By our assessment, its clearest strength is the scale of its game operations and its focus on multiplayer, live-service design, which has made the name strongly associated with PUBG and related mobile and PC products. The downside is that service games ask for patience, updates and a tolerance for balance changes that can reshape the experience over time. In practice, Krafton’s work sits somewhere between game publishing and ongoing game management, so the relationship with a title does not end on launch day. It belongs in the same conversation as other big game publishers, but with a sharper identity around battle royale and online play. That makes it more relevant to people who follow competitive shooters and connected ecosystems than to players who want tidy, self-contained single-player adventures. The South Korean base fits that reputation for technically driven, networked game business.
