Kone

Kone is about elevators, escalators, and the vertical moving parts of buildings, so the people who look for it are usually developers, building managers, and transit planners. By our assessment, its strength is in moving crowds and connecting floors quietly, day after day, with a reputation built around service-heavy equipment rather than flash. The trade-off is that this is infrastructure, not a consumer gadget: installation, maintenance, and long service contracts matter as much as the hardware itself. In practice, Kone means waiting for a lift to arrive, stepping into a system that is meant to vanish into the building, and trusting it to keep people moving. It sits in the same market as Otis and Schindler, where the best result is often the least noticeable one. Kone is a Finnish company, and that fits its plain, technical place in building systems.
