Kish P and I Club

Kish P and I Club is a protection club for shipping interests, the sort of mutual setup that exists to cover maritime liabilities and related claims. By our assessment, the strongest thing about it is that it belongs to a very specific corner of marine insurance, where shipowners and operators need cover for risks that ordinary business insurance does not handle well. The trade-off is narrowness: this is specialist territory, full of rules, claims handling, and technical language that most people never need to touch. In practice, it sounds far broader than it feels, because the real work is about underwriting and protection, not public-facing services. Compared with general insurers, it lives much closer to the shipping world. Kish P and I Club matters to maritime operators; everyone else will usually pass it by.
