Just Eat Takeaway

Just Eat Takeaway is the big food-delivery marketplace for people who want restaurant and takeaway orders handled in one app. By our assessment, its strength is the scale of that network and the plain usefulness of combining local restaurants with delivery and pickup in a single place. The trade-off is the familiar one for delivery platforms: service quality depends on the restaurant, the courier, and the city, so the experience can be uneven. In practice it feels like a search-and-checkout layer more than a food brand of its own, which is exactly why people use it. Compared with ordering straight from one restaurant, it is broader; compared with a delivery app that owns the whole operation, it is less tightly controlled. Just Eat Takeaway sits in the Netherlands and suits people who order from different places often, but it still lives and dies by the local options on the screen.
