JSC NPO “Splav” is the shorter, cleaner form of the same industrial name, and that makes it easier to say and to remember than the fully expanded versions. The trade-off is that the meaning still stays inside the abbreviation, so anyone outside that circle has to guess what exact business sits behind it.
