JSC "Rosselkhozbank"

Agriculture gives JSC "Rosselkhozbank" a clearer identity than a standard retail bank: lending to farms and agricultural businesses is central to its role. It also offers familiar banking services to individuals, including accounts, cards, deposits, and loans, so its work reaches beyond the farm sector. By our assessment, that combination makes it relevant both to agricultural companies with financing needs and to customers using ordinary banking products. Its sector focus is an advantage when a business needs finance shaped around farming, but it also means the bank is not simply interchangeable with every broad-based commercial bank. Like other lenders, it has to assess applications and the ability to repay; its agricultural emphasis does not make borrowing automatic or remove the cost of credit. For everyday customers, the basic services are recognizable, while the institution’s distinctive role remains tied to agriculture. The agricultural focus is most visible in the financing it provides to farms and businesses across that supply chain.
