Industry Bancshares, Inc.

Industry Bancshares, Inc. sounds like a bank holding company aimed at business lending and community-style finance rather than a glossy consumer brand. By our assessment, the name points to a practical, industrial-market sort of banking, where commercial relationships and local credit matters carry more weight than advertising. That is useful if the work is mainly underwriting loans and serving businesses that know their bankers by name. The trade-off is a narrower profile, because these companies rarely offer the broad consumer reach or product variety of larger national banks. In practice the experience is usually plain and workmanlike, with less to admire than to rely on. Industry Bancshares, Inc. belongs to the part of the market that is judged by competence at ordinary banking, not by style.
