INTERMONTE SICAV - INTERMONTE FLEXIBLE EUROPE is a flexible European fund, aimed at investors who want a manager to move across stocks, bonds and cash rather than stay locked into one box. By our assessment, the main attraction of that setup is room to shift with market conditions and to keep the portfolio from being trapped in one style. The downside is that flexibility also means less predictability, because the outcome depends heavily on the manager’s choices and on how that mixed mandate is used. In practice, this is a fund for people who can read a factsheet and live with a moving target instead of a fixed benchmark story. It sits between a plain equity fund and a bond fund, and the extra freedom is only worth it if you accept that the results may be harder to pin down.
