INC LTD

INC LTD is about as spare as a company name gets, and that sparseness is its main feature. By our assessment, it works as a bare legal label, but it gives a reader almost no sense of what the business actually does. The upside is that it is short, easy to file, and hard to misremember; the downside is that it feels anonymous, with no sector, product, or service signposted at all. In practice, this is the kind of name that lives on paperwork more than in a customer’s head. It sits below the level of brands that try to explain themselves, and that can be fine for internal or holding-company use. For anyone trying to understand the business from the name alone, though, there is almost nothing to read.
