IMPORTEKS

IMPORTEKS is a compact name that points toward imports, trade, or distribution, and that alone tells you roughly where to look for it. By our assessment, the appeal of such a company is in moving goods across borders and keeping stock flowing, which is a real job even when it sounds plain on paper. The downside is that the name is broad enough to cover very different businesses, so it tells outsiders almost nothing about the actual line of work. In practice, that means a purchaser or partner needs more context before the company becomes legible. It sits among the many trade names that are functional first and descriptive only in a loose way, and that is both its usefulness and its limit.
