Haftom-e Tir

Haftom-e Tir sounds like a Persian or Iranian corporate name, and that immediately tells you more about its linguistic form than about its business. By our assessment, it is too thin a label to suggest a product line, which is common with company names built from a calendar or date reference. The practical strength is recognisability inside its own local context; outside that context it stays opaque. The weakness is that a person looking for what the company actually does gets almost no help from the name alone. It belongs to the broad class of formal business names that work well on paperwork and poorly as a public explanation.
