HARWOOD CAFE LTD

HARWOOD CAFE LTD sounds like a neighbourhood café or a small hospitality outfit, and that is about as far as the public name takes you. By our assessment, its strength is obvious enough: people can tell at once that it belongs in food and drink, not in some abstract corporate category. The trade-off is that the name is generic, so it does not say whether this is a sit-down café, a takeaway counter, or something with a stronger coffee focus. In practice, that kind of naming is easy to understand and easy to remember, but it also blends into many similar signs on a high street. It sits in the middle of the café world rather than at the sharp end of a specialist brand, and it does not try to sound grander than it is. For someone who wants a straightforward local venue, that is enough; for anyone looking for a distinctive proposition, it is thin.
