GREAT TEHRAN PENITENTIARY

GREAT TEHRAN PENITENTIARY is a prison, so its function is custody, control, and the daily running of a correctional facility rather than anything a normal visitor would treat as a service. By our assessment, the only real strength of a place like this is capacity and order: a penitentiary has to manage security, housing, and routine under pressure. The honest downside is built into the category itself — prisons are restrictive by design, heavy on rules, and difficult by nature for everyone involved. In practice the word brings to mind gates, schedules, checks, and a life organized around confinement, not comfort. It sits in the plainest part of the correctional system, far from commercial brands or public-facing institutions. Nothing about the name suggests softness, and that is exactly how such places work.
