GARY CHAPPLE LIMITED

GARY CHAPPLE LIMITED has the plain shape of a personal-name company, the kind often used by sole traders or small private firms that want the owner’s name on the door. By our assessment, that gives it a straightforward, old-fashioned feel and makes it sound dependable rather than flashy. The downside is that it tells you almost nothing about the business itself, so the name works better as a legal label than as a guide to what gets done inside. In practice, this kind of company can fit almost any small commercial line, which is useful for the owner and unhelpful for everyone else. It sits in the broad family of local private businesses where the brand is the person, or close to it. That keeps the ceiling modest, but it also keeps the message simple.
