Fitbit

Fitbit made wrist-worn health tracking ordinary for a lot of people, long before every phone maker wanted a place in the same space. By our assessment, its strength is the simple mix of step counting, heart-rate tracking, sleep tracking and basic workout metrics in a band or watch that is easy to live with. The limit is just as clear: it is not a medical device, and the useful parts depend on a habit of wearing and charging it, then actually looking at the data. In practice it rewards routine more than drama, with reminders, summaries and a dashboard that nudges people toward noticing patterns. Fitbit sits between cheap pedometers and full smartwatch ecosystems, and it makes the most sense for someone who wants wellness tracking without building life around a screen.
