FORMULA SCAFFOLDING (LONDON) LTD is a construction-support company for people who need access, height and a working platform on site. By our assessment, its real value is in the obvious thing scaffolding does: it lets trades move safely around walls, roofs and façades while work is going on. The downside is equally obvious, because this kind of business is only as good as the planning, assembly and time it takes to put up and take down. In practice, it is all about tubes, boards, clamps and a site crew that has to get the structure right the first time. It sits between the building trade and the logistics of reaching difficult places, which makes it less flashy than the main contractor but often indispensable. If the job is small or indoors, its scale may be more than is needed.
