Etsy

Etsy is the online marketplace for handmade goods, vintage items, and small sellers who want a place that feels less like a warehouse and more like a bazaar with a search bar. By our assessment, its best trait is the long tail of individual shops: people go there for craft supplies, gifts, custom work, and odd little objects that large retail sites usually flatten out. The trade-off is that quality varies by seller, so the buyer has to read listings carefully and pay attention to shipping and return terms. In practice Etsy feels personal, crowded, and a bit uneven, which is part of the point and part of the headache. Against Amazon, it is narrower and more characterful, with less standardization and less brute convenience. It suits people looking for handmade or niche pieces, not anyone who wants one-click sameness. The Astrina catalogue records US for Etsy, which is the United States.
