Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways is the Abu Dhabi carrier for travelers who want a long-haul airline with a polished hub model and a lot of transfer traffic. By our assessment, its strength is the combination of premium branding, wide international reach, and a base that works as a gateway between East and West. The honest limit is that it is still a connecting-airline story, so the experience depends on the hub and on how much detour a route demands. In practice it feels more structured and formal than a casual point-to-point operator, with the airport transfer logic right at the center. Against its Gulf peers, it sits below the very biggest names in sheer scale, but it keeps a clear identity. It is a solid choice for people who want a major network airline rather than a no-frills shortcut. The Astrina catalogue records AE for it, which is the United Arab Emirates.
