Emaar Properties

Emaar Properties is the developer people reach for when they talk about large-scale real estate, master-planned districts and landmark towers, especially in Dubai. By our assessment, its main strength is scale: it does not just build single projects, it helps shape whole neighbourhoods with homes, malls, hotels and public-facing spaces. The trade-off is the one that comes with property development anywhere — heavy dependence on the cycle, financing and the health of the local market. In practice, that means a company judged less by a neat product and more by the shape of the places it leaves behind. Emaar sits near the top of the Gulf’s property scene, where prestige projects matter as much as floor space. It is for people watching urban development and real-estate developers, not for anyone expecting a simple consumer business.
