Despegar

Despegar sells online travel booking, especially flights and hotels, for Spanish-speaking travelers in Latin America who want to compare options and lock in a trip without calling a desk. By our assessment, its best feature is the practical bundle of flight, hotel and package search in one place, which is exactly what makes travel sites useful when a trip needs to be assembled quickly. The downside is that this kind of platform is only a middleman, so the actual airline, hotel or policy rules still matter when plans change. In practice you move through dates, destinations and fare conditions rather than through a dreamy travel brochure, and that is often a good thing. It sits in the crowded online travel agency field alongside other booking platforms, and it is most useful for people who book digitally and compare prices before buying. The catalogue ties Despegar to Argentina.
