Community Directions suggests a service that helps people navigate a place, a program, or a set of local resources, and that makes it feel close to social work, guidance, or neighborhood support. By our assessment, the name is strongest when the job itself is to point people toward the right next step, because it sounds practical and public-minded. The weakness is that it is broad enough to fit several different organizations, so it does not tell you much about the exact service.
