Cisco

Cisco is the networking backbone many large organizations lean on when they need routers, switches, security gear, collaboration tools, and the software that holds those systems together. By our assessment, its strongest point is range: from enterprise networks to conferencing and security, it covers the infrastructure layer instead of a single gadget category. The downside is that Cisco can feel expensive and complex, especially when a buyer is dealing with licensing, support, and a large installed stack. In daily use, the name usually disappears into racks, dashboards, and admin consoles, which is exactly how core infrastructure should behave. It sits near the top of the enterprise networking field, where reliability and support often matter more than flair. Cisco is for organizations that need serious network plumbing; it is not for someone who just wants a simple home setup.
