ChargePoint

ChargePoint is built for drivers, fleet operators and property owners who need public or workplace EV charging, not for people looking for a car brand or a home wall box. By our assessment, its real strength is network hardware and software: the company is known for charging stations, access management and the app-driven side of plugging in away from home. The catch is that public charging always depends on location, reliability and local build-out, so the experience can vary more than the marketing suggests. In practice that means maps, cards, apps and waiting around while the car fills, which is a different rhythm from filling a tank. ChargePoint sits among the better-known charging networks in the US, and it is most convincing where a site needs managed access rather than a loose collection of plugs.
